My main usage of geeqie is quickly browsing through many photos, selecting the ones that I want to keep. This involves using marks and repetitively switching back and forth between images, and has become unbearably slow with this bug.
For now I worked around the problem by downgrading to geeqie from buster. I hope that this issue can be resolved in the not so distant future. However, searching through the upstream list of geeqie’s issues for "marks slow", I do not see any issue that specifically refers to increasing slowness when using marks. Am I missing the relevant one, or should we open a new upstream issue for this problem?
