Thank you for filing these Java 17 FTBFS bug reports and also for fixing
them. I have tried to help the effort by using the BTS to tag myself as
an owner for some of the reports, including this bug on May 19th [1].
Obviously I am not as quick as you are, but I did have work in progress
on controlfx on my local machine.

Since this is a team-maintained package, and what's useful for users is
what is important, I don't want to make a big deal out of it. That is,
this is not about me. However, duplicated efforts dilute our impact.

Because I have a limited amount of time that I can dedicate to Debian, I
will take the opportunity to request that Java Team members to use the
BTS for coordination on team-maintained packages. The `bts` command in
the devscripts package is a convenient way to manipulate bugs, express
your intent, and avoid duplicated effort.

For example:

    bts owner <bug> !
    bts noowner <bug>
    bts tag <bug> +help
    etc...

Thanks,
tony
