Hi Hilmar,
I've just tested it, and the answer is no. The bug is still there with
- pdfTeX, Version 3.141592653-2.6-1.40.22 (TeX Live 2022/dev/Debian)
- LaTeX2e <2021-11-15> patch level 1
- cleveref 2018/03/27 v0.21.4 or v0.21.5
- greek 2020/11/10 v1.10
- babel 2021/11/29 3.67
You might wish to check with the current Texlive. If the bug is still
there, note that your TeX.SX link provides some workarounds, and not the
solution. IMHO, this bug report might have to wait until the maintainer
of cleveref replaces both occurrences of \edef\@tempb{\thepage} with
\protected@edef\@tempb{\thepage} or until \ensureascii get robust by
default.
Cheers,
Peter

You asked the question already on TeX.sx [1] and got some suggestions.
Can we close the bug?
Hilmar
