1.6-version This is because the build is a bit confused about what to put in that part of the version string, because upstream's autogen.sh wants to inspect the local git configuration to put information in the version string. It'd be better to drop the uninformative suffix and just identify the version as 1.6. (see also #1004742 in gpgme, gpgme's debian/patches/0001-Remove-upstream-git-fanciness.patch and libgpg-error's debian/patches/0001-Remove-upstream-git-fanciness.patch as well for examples of other comparable cleanup for libraries from the same upstream project with similar autogen.sh files) --dkg
