Dear Maintainer,

I started kmscube to test out whether kernel mode-setting would work on my
hardware.
I saw a rotating textured cube (so KMS works), but there was no way to exit
kmscube.

Among other things, I tried ESC, SPC and CTRL + C, but none of those exited
kmscube.

I then tried to switch to another TTY to log in and kill kmscube. This did not
work.
It seems that all keyboard inputs i tried were deferred until after kmscube
exits.

I expected shortcuts like CTRL + ALT + F2 to always get me to TTY2 immediately.
I also expected kmscube to exit upon a keypress, mouse click, or after a time.

To reproduce this issue:

1. Execute ”timeout 10 kmscube” in TTY1.
2. Press CTRL + ALT + F2 as soon as you see a rotating cube.
3. Wait 10 seconds.
4. Verify that the display only switches to TTY2 after kmscube exits.
