Package: dh-buildinfo Version: 0.11+nmu2 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
recent versions of debhelper allow us to add "dh-seqeunce-*" build-dependencies, which will both install the requried package and enable dh-sequences (--with=...) in d/rules. This makes maintaining simpler, as we don't have to specify the same information ("i want to use sequence 'foo'") in two places (d/rules and d/control). AFAICT, all is required is to add a "Provides: dh-sequence-buildinfo" stanza to dh-buildinfo's d/control. >From then on, enabling buildinfo is as simple as adding a B-D on "dh-sequence-buildinfo" in any consumer package. fmgrads IOhannes -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.18.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages dh-buildinfo depends on: ii build-essential 12.9 ii debhelper 13.8 ii perl 5.34.0-5 dh-buildinfo recommends no packages. dh-buildinfo suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
