Dear maintainers, Chris,

While trying to figure out the autopkgtest regressions in
python-fakeredis which are blocking the migration of redis and
python-redis I wondered if upstream already had fixes, as it seems
that python-fakeredis in its current state in Debian really doesn't
seem ready for the current redis in Debian, I stumbled upon the fact
that upstream moved to a different location [1]. The new upstream has
already a 1.9.0 release out, so 9 releases further than Debian
unstable.

With so much work going on, I would expect the new upstream to be
ready for the current redis version. Please consider unblocking the
redis/python-redis/python-fakeredis situation [2] in Debian by
shipping a newer version.

Paul
