This bug is connected to the bug #361273 of the gnome-terminal package. The problem is the following : normally, when starting an application from gnome-terminal, its window would pop up in the foreground.Now, when I start an application from gnome-terminal, it is started somewhere in the background. This is a very annoying bug. After some investigation, I finally found that the bug was introduced when *upgrading Metacity to version 2.14.1*.
