Hi. Thanks for the report. This looks like a pkgconf bug to me; seems like it has different output compared to pkg-config for the same *.pc file. If pkgconf doesn't want to fix that problem, I think a specific dependency on pkg-config is a better fix, to use the intended pkg- config tool. /Simon
