I am using XFCE4 and its panel. The panel consumes up to 20M when I start XFCE4, which is too much for my memory computer, but what it is more important, after days of use it grows up to 43M of memory. This problem makes it almost impossible to use it, since when I have some applications running, it goes to swap space and it lasts seconds to show up again the panel. I use the auto-hide option.
