Previously some security issue was mentioned. I couldn't find any references. Is this still an issue? If yes, has this been reported upstream?

As for the title of this ticket "Would you please consider replacing Gzip module with Brotli for compression?" I think replacing gzip would be highly controversial, complicate any gzip to brotli migration or dual compatibility, might break some setups and isn't needed at all.

I guess this report has been obsoleted, should be closed and any remaining security issues, if still relevant should be reported against libnginx-mod-http-brotli-filter.
