The odd behaviour is due to the hash built-in doing the -r action and then exiting as soon as it encountered the -r flag: "hash -r$anything", for /any/ value of anything, is equivalent to "hash -r". I've posted a patch to dash@, archived at forwarded-to, which also removes the -v documentation (it doesn't appear to have ever existed, at least insofar as git reaches). наб
