Package: bash
Version: 5.2-1
Version: 5.1-2+deb11u1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I, foolishly, did echo {a..z}{a..z}{a..z}{a..z}{a..z}{a..z}{a..z}{a..z}.
This, naturally, hung, as bash started to generate 26^8=208827064576
elements. This is expected.

What's /not/ expected is that I /could not/ interrupt this expansion,
be it with intr or quit. I killed bash from another teletype when it
threatened to start evicting my caches when it reached 80G RSS.

Please make brace expansion interruptible.

Best,
наб
