In order to get a possibly more consistent system, I switched to Debian 12 in the meantime.
This uses the kernel 6.0.12-1 as well.

   apt list linux-image-amd64
   Auflistung… Fertig
   linux-image-amd64/testing,now 6.0.12-1 amd64  [installiert]

The behavior has not changed, the system does seem to wake up when a key is pressed, the hard drive and fan start, the status LED is permanently on instead of blinking, but the system remains unusable. No further response to keyboard or mouse, and the network has not been reactivated either, no response to a ping.

The PC is based on an Asus A68HM-PLUS with UEFI BIOS V. 2011-x64 10/17/2018.
