It looks like the upstream package is no longer maintained[1], so it could be challenging to find a good resolution for this bug. There are a couple of unmerged possible fixes provided by contributors[2][3] -- personally, I think that PR11 has stood the test of time and discussion and may be a good candidate based on that. Perhaps we could ask the author of PR11 to confirm whether they would positively want their changes to be included in Debian's python-ratelimiter package, so that it can continue to be provided with default Python 3.11 on Debian?
