Source: gensio Version: 2.5.1-2 Followup-For: Bug #1026667 Dear Maintainer,
Please find a merge request on Debian Salsa at https://salsa.debian.org/debian/gensio/-/merge_requests/2 that addresses this build failure. Two fixups were required: 1. A hardcoded reference[1] to Python3.10 was adjusted to permit any minor version of Python3, allowing the build to succeed on Python3.11 as well (and easing rollback, if the Debian project decides not to upgrade to Python3.11 for the bookworm release) 2. An additional match-pattern[2] was added to the list of build artifacts that are generated but not used during package installation (and should therefore not be included in the distributed package) The first change resolves the build error described in this bugreport, and the second change resolves a subsequent build error ("dh_missing: warning: usr/local/lib/python3.11/dist-packages/_pygensio.a exists in debian/tmp but is not installed to anywhere "), which is visible in the build logs from a Debian Salsa build[3]. Thanks!
