Package: iem-plugin-suite-standalone Version: 1.14.0-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
today i played around with jacktrip's file opening capabilities, which - under the hood - uses QDesktopServices::openUrl(). this in turn (i guess) relays the opening of files to the mimetype registry. in any case: i was amazed to see that trying to open a .yml file with jacktrip would launch the DualDelay standalone. also, trying to open .txt files(!) with jacktrip, would launch the DualDelay standalone. I then noticed, that DualDelay is also launched, if i open these files from my file-manager (Thunar) afaict, there's no *proper* application (registered) that handles .yml files, but .txt-files probably are registered somehow. i'm pretty sure, that DualDelay should not be the application to open files that have no other handler. I suspect that this is an issue with the .desktop files -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages iem-plugin-suite-standalone depends on: ii libasound2 1.2.8-1+b1 ii libc6 2.36-8 ii libfftw3-single3 3.3.10-1 ii libfreetype6 2.12.1+dfsg-4 ii libgcc-s1 12.2.0-14 ii libgl1 1.6.0-1 ii libjpeg62-turbo 1:2.1.2-1+b1 ii libpng16-16 1.6.39-2 ii libstdc++6 12.2.0-14 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.13.dfsg-1 iem-plugin-suite-standalone recommends no packages. iem-plugin-suite-standalone suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
