Package: iem-plugin-suite-standalone
Version: 1.14.0-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

today i played around with jacktrip's file opening capabilities,
which - under the hood - uses QDesktopServices::openUrl().

this in turn (i guess) relays the opening of files to the mimetype registry.

in any case: i was amazed to see that trying to open a .yml file with jacktrip
would launch the DualDelay standalone.
also, trying to open .txt files(!) with jacktrip, would launch the DualDelay
standalone.

I then noticed, that DualDelay is also launched, if i open these files from my
file-manager (Thunar)

afaict, there's no *proper* application (registered) that handles .yml files,
but .txt-files probably are registered somehow.

i'm pretty sure, that DualDelay should not be the application to open files that
have no other handler.

I suspect that this is an issue with the .desktop files
