This certainly made sense at the time to prevent avoidable FTBFS
problems during the transition, but I really should have removed these
"temporary" compatibility symlinks after the Buster release. By now
everybody should have switched to ncurses{w,}6-config or to pkg-config,
but it seems there are still a few stragglers.
Anyway, I intend to finally remove the ncurses{w,}5-config symlinks
after the Bookworm release. AFAIK nobody else ships them.
