the update from 1.2.5 to 1.2.6 broke the package-update-indicator package. There is a bug report on the affected package here: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1025907 After looking at the debug looks and glancing at the code, it looks to me like the newest packagekit version just ends up telling it that there is no updates available (even if there are updates available). Attached are package-update-indicator debug logs with 1.2.5 and 1.2.6. While it says that it is using the "apt" backend instead of "aptcc", I *think* it gets that backend name from packagekit. It isn't defined anywhere in the package-update-indicator source code.
