Dear Sven, this is one of the upstream maintainers (@buhtz). Thanks a lot for your contribution. Keep in mind the the upstream PR isn't merged yet. And wouldn't it be better to use the next upstream release instead of a Debian specific patch? We have no problem to prepare a upstream 1.3.4 if Jonathon (or Fabio) tell us that this is used for Debian 12 and not blocked because of the current freeze. We'll wait for advice.
