Package: mtools Version: 3.9.10.ds1-1 Severity: important I've used mtools for years to access floppies on X terminals, without any problems. Today I found that mtools was not working. However, I hadn't used floppies for some monthes, so I can't say when it stopped working.
My configuration files have not changed and are OK. I've got the sources and compiled them with floppyd support enabled : my own compiled version of mdir works perfectly with the remote floppy. The system version of mdir still fails. The error message is : $ mdir a: Drive 'A:' not supported Cannot initialize 'A:' When I use "strace mdir a:", I can see that mdir reads the configuration files, then fails without any network activity. It is just like if floppyd support was disabled in the Debian package of mtools. Or is there a new option to enable the floppyd client in mtools ? -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-1-686-smp Locale: LANG=fr_FR, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages mtools depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries mtools recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
