Package: aide-common Version: 0.18.1-2 Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-Cc: kjo...@poczta.onet.pl
Recently aide started to send mails not by sendmail command but by connecting to port 25 on localhost, using s-nail. As I can see user (root) sending mail is hardcoded in /usr/share/aide/bin/dailyaidecheck these changes makes filtering mails quite fragile. It would be nice to have for example custom header describes that this is the mail from aide on host say X-Aide: $hostname or sth. -- System Information: Debian Release: 12.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-7-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=pl_PL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=pl_PL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages aide-common depends on: ii aide 0.18.1-2 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.82 ii liblockfile1 1.17-1+b1 ii ucf 3.0043+nmu1 Versions of packages aide-common recommends: ii bsd-mailx [mailx] 8.1.2-0.20220412cvs-1 ii cron 3.0pl1-162 ii mailutils [mailx] 1:3.15-4 ii s-nail 14.9.24-2 aide-common suggests no packages. -- debconf-show failed
