Package: libreoffice-sdbc-postgresql Version: 4:7.4.5-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
libreoffice-sdbc-postgresql has an odd dependency chain which prevents its coinstallation with libreoffice-nogui. libreoffice-nogui, however, Recommends libreoffice-sdbc postgresql. This can cause Apt to refuse to install libreoffice-nogui alone in some cases (I haven't been able to figure out a reproduction case other than "empty dpkg status file"), but more relevantly prevents the coinstallation through 'apt install libreoffice-nogui libreoffice-sdbc-postgresql'. The dependency chain in question looks something like this: libreoffice-nogui Depends: libreoffice-core-nogui Recommends: libreoffice-sdbc-postgresql Depends: libreoffice-core Conflicts: libreoffice-core-nogui Can libreoffice-sdbc-postgresql be used with libreoffice-core-nogui? If so, should -sdbc-postgresql have an Or-relation between -core and -core-nogui? Or, is there another more tenable solution for this case? (For the system information, I am using reportbug in a Debian chroot on a Fedora system. It may not be entirely relevant.) -- System Information: Debian Release: 12.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.2.10-200.fc37.x86_64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=locale: Cannot set LC_MESSAGES to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: unable to detect Versions of packages libreoffice-sdbc-postgresql depends on: ii libc6 2.36-9 ii libgcc-s1 12.2.0-14 pn libpq5 <none> pn libreoffice-common <none> pn libreoffice-core <none> ii libstdc++6 12.2.0-14 pn libuno-cppu3 <none> pn libuno-cppuhelpergcc3-3 <none> pn libuno-sal3 <none> pn libuno-salhelpergcc3-3 <none> pn ucf <none> pn uno-libs-private <none> libreoffice-sdbc-postgresql recommends no packages.
