I think that it is this upstream bug: https://github.com/astroidmail/astroid/issues/720 And yes, it is unfortunately related to the webkit2gtk upgrade. The good news is that it can be worked around locally without having to modify the astroid package (although it's a good idea to do that anyway). Berto
