I still need to be convinced about this change. Indeed, what you propose is showing a list with: Andorra Catalunya Nord (Francia) Catalunya Sul (Espanya) L'Alguer (Italia) Instead of the current: Andorra Francia Espanya Italia (sorry for the probably mistakes) I have strong objections with that. Locales are supposed to be a combination of a language and a country and proposing something else would just induce confusion to users. I'm afraid I'm also not fond of the regionalism that seems hidden behind this. My opinion only, but it will need a lot of work to convince me to make this change to localechooser and I'm afraid it won't be liked by Frans Pop as well. So, even though I'm not the maintainer of iso-codes, I do not vote for that chnge.
