If it helps: Inventor is a system for visualizing 3D scenes. The elements in
the scenes are geometric objects like spheres, cuboids, cones, etc, described
in a structured "scene graph" input file. One possible node type in the scene
is "text". This bug will manifest only for input data that contains a text
node; when it manifests the text will be absent in the view but no other ill
effects are observed.

The fix is just to link to the new file names. I tested the fix by viewing an
example scene file that does contain text:

        ivview /usr/share/inventor/data/demos/jackInTheBox.iv
