The referenced upstream bug report shows this as fixed upstream, so marking the bug report accordingly. If you can figure out, which commits fixed this issue (e.g. via a git bisect), we might consider them for a stable backport.
With bookworm having been released, this issue will most likely be closed unless someone will provide the commits that need to be cherry-picked.
So if you want to see this fixed for bullseye, please run a git bisect to find the relevant commits.
Otherwise, our recommendation is to upgrade to bookworm and this issue will be closed.
