No, running `dpkg -S /etc/init.d/iptables` does not identify a package
for it.
I did delete /etc/init.d/iptables from my system as id did not come
with the packages.

never has.

Does running `dpkg -S /etc/init.d/iptables` identify a package for it?

What's in it?
