Package: gzip Version: 1.12-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
the package gzip currently creates the following hardlinks: /bin/gunzip /bin/uncompress Please choose one to be a symlink to the other instead. These are one of the few hardlinks on my system and make backup software complain. Other software in debian repositories also uses the symlink method when they want an executable to be started with different names. Thank you. -- System Information: Debian Release: 12.0 APT prefers stable-security APT policy: (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU thread; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages gzip depends on: ii dpkg 1.21.22 ii libc6 2.36-9 gzip recommends no packages.
