Or maybe this alternative... Boinc checks to see if i386 libraries are installed. If they are, then try and download the i386 client binary. libc6-i386 could then be just a "Suggests."
I do agree that it would be nice to have a packaged binary client for all (or most) architectures. Seti is good. Thanks, Frank :-)
