Hi, This package fails to build a source package after a successful build (dpkg-buildpackage ; dpkg-buildpackage -S). This is probably a clear violation of Debian Policy section 4.9 (clean target), but this is filed as severity:minor for now, because a discussion on debian-devel showed that we might want to revisit the requirement of a working 'clean' target. More information about this class of issues, included common problems and solutions, is available at https://wiki.debian.org/qa.debian.org/FTBFS/SourceAfterBuild Relevant part of the build log: > cd /<<PKGBUILDDIR>> && runuser -u user42 -- dpkg-buildpackage --sanitize-env > -us -uc -rfakeroot -S > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > dpkg-buildpackage: info: source package netcdf-parallel > dpkg-buildpackage: info: source version 1:4.9.0-1 > dpkg-buildpackage: info: source distribution unstable > dpkg-buildpackage: info: source changed by Alastair McKinstry > <[email protected]> > dpkg-source --before-build . > fakeroot debian/rules clean > dh clean --buildsystem=cmake > rm -f debian/libnetcdf-mpi-19.debhelper.log > debian/libnetcdf-mpi-dev.debhelper.log > debian/libnetcdf-pnetcdf-19.debhelper.log > debian/libnetcdf-pnetcdf-dev.debhelper.log > debian/rules override_dh_auto_clean > make[1]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>' > rm -rf build-* debian/tmp* debian/*.postinst > make[1]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>' > dh_autoreconf_clean -O--buildsystem=cmake > rm -f -- ./m4/libtool.m4 ./autom4te.cache/requests > ./autom4te.cache/traces.2 ./autom4te.cache/output.2 ./autom4te.cache/output.1 > ./autom4te.cache/traces.1 ./autom4te.cache/output.0 ./autom4te.cache/traces.0 > ./ltmain.sh ./configure ./configure\~ ./config.h.in\~ > rm -f debian/autoreconf.before debian/autoreconf.after > dh_clean -O--buildsystem=cmake > rm -f debian/debhelper-build-stamp > cp -an --reflink=auto > debian/.debhelper/bucket/files/af8a1922c9b3c240bf2119d4ec0965a0b5ec36b1016017ba66db44b3b53e9cea > > debian/.debhelper/bucket/files/af8a1922c9b3c240bf2119d4ec0965a0b5ec36b1016017ba66db44b3b53e9cea.tmp > mv > debian/.debhelper/bucket/files/af8a1922c9b3c240bf2119d4ec0965a0b5ec36b1016017ba66db44b3b53e9cea.tmp > config.guess > cp -an --reflink=auto > debian/.debhelper/bucket/files/d611751fba98e807c9684d253bb02aa73d6825fe0e0b9ae3cbf258a59171c9b0 > > debian/.debhelper/bucket/files/d611751fba98e807c9684d253bb02aa73d6825fe0e0b9ae3cbf258a59171c9b0.tmp > mv > debian/.debhelper/bucket/files/d611751fba98e807c9684d253bb02aa73d6825fe0e0b9ae3cbf258a59171c9b0.tmp > config.sub > rm -f debian/.debhelper/bucket/index > rm -rf debian/.debhelper/ > rm -f -- debian/libnetcdf-mpi-19.substvars > debian/libnetcdf-pnetcdf-19.substvars debian/libnetcdf-mpi-dev.substvars > debian/libnetcdf-pnetcdf-dev.substvars debian/files > rm -fr -- debian/libnetcdf-mpi-19/ debian/tmp/ > debian/libnetcdf-pnetcdf-19/ debian/libnetcdf-mpi-dev/ > debian/libnetcdf-pnetcdf-dev/ > find . \( \( \ > \( -path .\*/.git -o -path .\*/.svn -o -path .\*/.bzr -o -path > .\*/.hg -o -path .\*/CVS -o -path .\*/.pc -o -path .\*/_darcs \) -prune -o > -type f -a \ > \( -name '#*#' -o -name '.*~' -o -name '*~' -o -name DEADJOE \ > -o -name '*.orig' -o -name '*.rej' -o -name '*.bak' \ > -o -name '.*.orig' -o -name .*.rej -o -name '.SUMS' \ > -o -name TAGS -o \( -path '*/.deps/*' -a -name '*.P' \) \ > \) -exec rm -f {} + \) -o \ > \( -type d -a -name autom4te.cache -prune -exec rm -rf {} + \) > \) > dpkg-source -b . > dpkg-source: info: using source format '3.0 (quilt)' > dpkg-source: info: building netcdf-parallel using existing > ./netcdf-parallel_4.9.0.orig.tar.xz > dpkg-source: info: using patch list from debian/patches/series > dpkg-source: warning: ignoring deletion of file ltmain.sh, use > --include-removal to override > dpkg-source: warning: ignoring deletion of file configure, use > --include-removal to override > dpkg-source: warning: ignoring deletion of file m4/libtool.m4, use > --include-removal to override > dpkg-source: info: local changes detected, the modified files are: > netcdf-parallel-4.9.0/docs/auth.html > netcdf-parallel-4.9.0/libsrc/attr.c > netcdf-parallel-4.9.0/libsrc/ncx.c > netcdf-parallel-4.9.0/libsrc/putget.c > dpkg-source: error: aborting due to unexpected upstream changes, see > /tmp/netcdf-parallel_4.9.0-1.diff.OIapfc > dpkg-source: info: Hint: make sure the version in debian/changelog matches > the unpacked source tree > dpkg-source: info: you can integrate the local changes with dpkg-source > --commit > dpkg-buildpackage: error: dpkg-source -b . subprocess returned exit status 2 > > E: Command 'cd /<<PKGBUILDDIR>> && runuser -u user42 -- dpkg-buildpackage > --sanitize-env -us -uc -rfakeroot -S' failed to run. The full build log is available from: http://qa-logs.debian.net/2023/08/13/netcdf-parallel_4.9.0-1_unstable.log If you reassign this bug to another package, please mark it as 'affects'-ing this package. See https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control#affects If you fail to reproduce this, please provide a build log and diff it with mine so that we can identify if something relevant changed in the meantime.
