Steps to reproduce:
1) Make sure /etc/locale.gen does not have 'en_GB' locale and that
nothing in the output of "locale" refers to en_GB.
2) Start wxmaxima

Expected results:
2) wxmaxima starts.

Actual results:
2) wxmaxima starts but also displays an error popup with title
"Wxmaxima Error" and content "Cannot set locale to 'en_GB'."
