According to https://github.com/pgpainless/pgpainless/tags version 1.6.1 was released 3 weeks ago. It would be great to get this version into debian.
This isn't possible at the moment because Debian still ships bouncycastle 1.72 which is too old for pgpainless 1.4 or later.
Once bouncycastle gets updated, hopefully to 1.76, I'll look into it. -- Jérôme
