My plan is to move this repo into the debian/ namespace in a few
weeks, unless you are against it.
What is this? Are you trying to highjack the package?
That must had been the most polite hijacking attempt ever. I even
spelled out the instructions to take the repo and make it yours. :)
If you prefer to create the repo on salsa.d.o yourself, you can fork
it
and then use "Settings" → "General" → "Remove fork relationship".
Right, makes an awful lot of send for me to fork your git and in the
process lose all the commit details from the real git archive, not!
A simple search on salsa would have shown you the real archive.
A search on tracker.d.o and all other metadata services showed no record
of a VCS (because the VCS URLs are missing from d/control) as well as a
not-yet-acknowledged NMU that happened in 2022.
Now that I know that there is a VCS repo for hostname, you can find:
1. a MR that acknowledges the NMU at
https://salsa.debian.org/meskes/hostname/-/merge_requests/1
2. a MR that adds the VCS fields at
https://salsa.debian.org/meskes/hostname/-/merge_requests/2
