Fully featured and highly configurable SFTP server with optional HTTP/S, FTP/S and WebDAV support. Several storage backends are supported: local filesystem, encrypted local filesystem, S3 (compatible) Object Storage, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, SFTP. I run this software to share files with family and a ham radio club, and find it very flexible with multiple protocols, multiple storage backends, and virtual users for greater isolation from the operating system users. (No messing around with chroots just to share files over SFTP, for example.) It might even have potential to be used to benefit Debian directly. For example, if I were going to staff a Debian booth at a trade show, I would set up an SFTPGo file server, put the handout .pdf files and schedule on there, etc., rather than monkeying around with an HTTP server/PHP/PostgreSQL/OwnCloud/LetsEncrypt stack. For ham radio, it is especially useful because it is not legal for amateur radio networks to carry encrypted traffic. So I can share the same files securely for those connected by internet (using SFTP) and unencrypted (using FTP) for those on an amateur radio wireless connection.
