Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name : python3-pytest-subprocess Version : 1.5.0 Upstream Contact: https://github.com/aklajnert/pytest-subprocess/issues * URL : https://github.com/aklajnert/pytest-subprocess * License : MIT Programming Lang: Python Description : Pytest plugin to fake subprocess
I would like to use pytest-subprocess in the tests for apt-listchanges that run when it builds, but I can't because pytest-subprocess is not packaged for Debian and it's (rightly) against the rules to use PyPI modules that aren't packaged when building Debian packages. There is, as far as I know, no other Python package in Debian which provides a pytest fixture that fakes subprocess calls. I am willing to be the maintainer of this package if someone from the Debian Python team is willing to sponsor me and help me through the learning curve of how to properly package my first PyPI package into a Debian package. It won't take a lot of hand-holding -- I can figure out most stuff on my own -- but I would like to have a backstop to make sure I don't accidentally do something stupid.
