Hi,

grub was just a guess of the package name from my side. It should be grub 2:

The grub boot selection page says GNU Grub 2.06-13+deb12u1.

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where
appropriate ***

    * What led up to the situation?
I updated debian with
su
apt update
apt upgrade

    * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
      ineffective)?
grub from debian installation was installed during debian package
update

    * What was the outcome of this action?
debian version of grub is now installed (likely in MBR)
This version does not show an option to start kde neon
    * What outcome did you expect instead?
the installed debian grub version detects KDE Neon and provides an
option to start the installed KDE Neon besides the option to start
debian

Hi,

what's the reason that you still use the old GRUB Legacy instead of
GRUB 2?

I suggest using GRUB 2 with os-prober installed.
Though you need to enable usage of os-prober in /etc/default/grub with

GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER=false

GRUB 0.97 won't get any fixes from us anymore.
