From what version were you upgrading? Could you try reproducing the
bug as follow:
- install the previous galeon version
- create a new user on your system
- launch galeon as this user and add some bookmarks
- upgrade galeon
I would need the exact version of galeon from which you were upgrading
and a detailed procedure.
FYI, there are backups of your bookmarks generated below .galeon
(bookmarks.xbel.*).
