Four and half years ago I reported what were then already longstanding and severe bugs in the custom theme we use as the default theme for the Debian wiki.
I also requested that the default be changed to the "Classic" theme (which as I understand it is provided by upstream), pending a fix to those bugs in our own theme. That includes fixing serious defects in a reasonable > time. There has been no progress. No-one authoritative has given the go-ahead, and said that this change should be made. But, neither has anyone authoritative vetoed it. It appears that no-one with the relevant authority is interested in this problem. That's fine; I'm not demanding that anyone do work that they're not interested in. However, I wish this problem to be unblocked. It doesn't seem like simply changing the default will be very difficult. So: I suspect that this default is part of the MoinMoin configuration files, which we have perhaps modifed. Or, that it is stored in the MoinMoin database. It will probably be obvious from insepcting the running system where this change has been made. In either case, I believe DSA would be able to either change the default themselves, or grant me sufficient technical privilege to make the change myself. If I don't hear to the contrary within (say) 28 days, I will ask DSA to make "Classic" the default theme on wiki.debian.org, or to enable me to make that change myself.
