No text display is possible. ######################################################################## If I downgrade to libfreetype6_2.1.10, the text is displayed. It seems to be simuilar to bug the resolved bug #315823. I guess that there are some improvements in the libfreetype6 versions > 2.2 thus you may recompile ipe and libipe1c2a with a dependence on libfreerype6 > 2.2 or you should add a dependence on the current debian packages with libfreetype < 2.2.
