I cannot confirm this.
These 3 files ldap{compare,delete,passwd} are in fact 3 different
files. It is only by chance that they have the same size on i386.

I double-checked your assumption in 2 installations.
The files differ not only in their inodes but also in their contents.
(i.e. diff tells they are different)

The info on this bug was only because I stumpled over it, while
browsing through the bug list and checking whether the bugs I filed
in the last few days were worked on.
I consider the findings in those bugs more important than this one
(especially as they are regressions agains previous versions of 
openldap in Debian)
