Dear Maintainers,
I am maintaining ocrad package which recently has switched to shipping
its tarballs compressed with lz (ocrad-0.29.tar.lz). 'tar.lz' files are
identified by 'file' as 'application/x-lzip' and seamlessly extracted by
'tar'. However, 'tar_regex' in
/usr/share/perl5/Devscripts/MkOrigtargz/Config.pm does not allow
'tar.lz', albeit it includes 'tlz'. If renamed to 'tlz', the archive is
again refused to be processed as '%mime2comp' in
/usr/share/perl5/Devscripts/Compression.pm does not contain
'application/x-lzip'. I tried adding 'application/x-lzip' to
'%mime2comp', but then ran into "uscan: error: tar is not a supported
compression" error and gave up.
Could you please give a look at implementing support for lz compression
in mk-origtargz?
