Source: 7zip Version: 23.01+dfsg-7 Severity: normal Hi again,
currently, the 7zip package has both a versioned Breaks+Replaces as wellas a versioned Conflicts relationship against the p7zip-full and p7zip packages. In general, if a package conflict can be resolved by installing a specific version of "the other" package, a Breaks+Replaces relationship is sufficient. A Conflicts relationship is meant for two packages which can never get installed at the same time, e.g. because they provide the same service. https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html Cheers, - Fabian -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.5.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled
