The webkit2gtk maintainers intend to stop building the 4.0 API soon. Please switch to using the 4.1 API which is the same as the 4.0 API except that it uses libsoup3 instead of libsoup2.4. Unfortunately, astroidmail uses libsoup directly so it is necessary to port it from libsopu2.4 to libsoup3 to fix this issue.
