baobab has in its postinst: gtk-update-icon-cache -q /usr/share/icons/hicolor This has already been discussed in debian-gnome-gtk list, and I think it should not. All other gnome applications that install icons in hicolor, depend on those icons, and do not run gtk-update-icon-cache will break. It's simple enough to remove the offending lines, but the fix should also delete /usr/share/icons/hicolor/icon-theme.cache This needs to be fixed.
