OK, I note that 5.7.15 is available. I'll create a separate bug for that.
You can't move the character with number pad (with <NUM LOCK> off nor on) nor
arrow keys, which all do other commands, but shouldn't (other than if you
have <NUM LOCK> on it may be for another command).
Check the options (accessed via “=”). The number pad movement works fine
provided

Actually, this is also not the official version, which is by David
Grabiner and v5.6, not the unofficial v.5.7.15, which was largely
rewritten and might have bugs the original doesn't (though fixes some
also).
I'm using the version at https://umoria.org/ and
https://github.com/dungeons-of-moria/umoria because it is suitably
licensed and is maintained.
