I created merge requests in 2022 to update this package with a patchlevel update, and offered to do more updates, but I was unable to get any response.

I tried reaching out multiple times to the two previous maintainers via email and IRC, emailing the the authentication team, finding a mentor on IRC, pinging people via salsa, and even trying to track down anyone who could help on ActivityPub.

If someone is willing to find or be a mentor to me, and help with the release process, I'm still willing to put in the work to update the packages and make sure all the build tests continue to pass.

For reference, here are the merge requests that I submitted:

https://salsa.debian.org/auth-team/pam-u2f/-/merge_requests/8
https://salsa.debian.org/auth-team/pam-u2f/-/merge_requests/9
https://salsa.debian.org/auth-team/pam-u2f/-/merge_requests/10

I'm fairly new to creating packages and completely new to the release procedures, but I've been writing software and using Debian for decades, so after the first round of merges, I don't expect to require much of the mentor's time.

Thanks,
Adam

thanks

The last update of the u2f library is nearly 4 years(!) old. Please update to the latest version. If you need help, please don't hesitate to ask, I'm happy to help here as I'm using yubikeys for all authentication processes.

With best regards
Patrick
