I must correct my self: This was an update from devuan chimaera and an old history concerning $HOME, which lives with me since years

Today I made a fresh install in a virtual machine and every thing works fine.

Then I deleted directories

rm -r $HOME/.config/kicad $HOME/.cache/kicad $HOME/.local/share/kicad

I started KiCad again as $USER and it acknowledged the libraries.

This is an aide at least for those who do not have a valuable history in KiCad

For the others the problem remains to be solved

best regards bugreportem
