Actually if you have 6.06+dfsg1-3+deb12u1 installed (and have restarted xscreensaver since its update) you shouldn't see this message. There is still a message in the verbose log output, but it has been "augmented". It can be further augmented along your suggestions, I would be happy to include that. A text suggestion is welcome. I am also working on getting 6.08 into bookworm-backports, so that everybody can run upstream's latest release with the smallest effort. Regards, Tormod
