reassign 364421 kernel retitle 364421 touch /var/run/new-kernel after new kernel was installed severity 364421 wishlist thanks
Dear kernel team: this would make it a little easier for hibernate people to insure the sanity of our users. Maybe such a sentinel file could also come in handy for others. Please consider. Exactly. The kernel-patch-suspend2 is also thoroughly broken right now. > I gather your issue though is with the vanilla suspend. Have a kernel image touch a file in /var/run; the directory gets cleared on reboot anyway.
